The Attorney General Guidelines for Victim and Witness Assistance (2000 ed.) was developed by the Department of Justice Deputy Attorney General's Victims' Rights Working Group, which includes representatives from the Office of the Deputy Attorney General, Office of Policy Development, Office of Legal Counsel, Drug Enforcement Administration, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Immigration and Naturalization Service, Office of Inspector General, U.S. Marshals Service, Antitrust Division, Civil Division, Civil Rights Division, Criminal Division, Environment and Natural Resources Division, Executive Office for United States Attorneys, Tax Division, Bureau of Prisons, U.S. Parole Commission, and the Office for Victims of Crime. In addition, the full Attorney General's Advisory Committee and the subcommittee for LECC/Victim Witness reviewed and approved the guidelines.
