Please join us at 11 a.m. on April 19, 2001, in the Russell Senate Office Building Caucus Room as Attorney General John Ashcroft honors extraordinary individuals, teams, and organizations from across the country with the National Victim Service Award and the Crime Victims Fund Award. This year's ceremony will mark the first time the presentation of the two sets of awards have been made at a single event. The Crime Victim Service Award honors outstanding victim advocates and the Crime Victims Fund Award honors men and women who collect the fines, penalties, and forfeitures that are deposited into the federal Crime Victims Fund that supports victim compensation and assistance programs nationwide.
