Nationwide organization with chapters in 41 states. Provides crisis hotline, individual
counseling, and information about legal rights and the criminal justice system to victims
of DWI. Provides free informational bulletins and newsletters to victims and their families.
Raises public awareness by sponsoring speakers bureaus, victim impact panels, and
other public education activities.

Prevention program which seeks to lower drug, alcohol, and tobacco use
among junior high and high school students. The Safe Rides program offers
transportation to youth if they or a friend are under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Four annual conferences include presentations by convicted drunk drivers.
Friday Night Live's Clubline, an informational telephone program, seeks to increase
self-esteem and drug resistance skills among youth.

Provides statistics and newsletters about drunk driving, and programming
information for the development of local SADD chapters. Prevention efforts
include a Contract for Life campaign, which obtains pledges to abstain from
drinking and driving from young adults and their parents.
