2. HOW DO YOU MEASURE YOUR PROGRAM'S EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS IN REDUCING THE FINANCIAL IMPACTH OF CRIME ON VICTIMS? WHAT ARE THE RESULTS? Our program measures the average processing time through automated means by using the date the claim is accepted (claims determined eligible) and the date of the Program’s decision to determine the average processing time. The average processing time for all claim types combined is 9.6 weeks.

3. DID YOUR STATE USE VOCA ADMINSTRATIVE FUNDS? YES IF YOUR STATE USED VOCA ADMINSTRATIVE FUNDS, PLEASE DESCRIBE THE IMPACT THESE FUNDS HAVE HAD ON YOUR STATE'S ABILITY TO PROVIDE COMPENSATION OR IMPROVE VICTIM SERVICES. The administrative funds are utilized to partially support the salary and benefits of a staff person. This individual plans, organizes, and directs the work of 14 employees who work directly with the Victims Compensation claim process. This process includes determination of eligibility, the verification process, making decisions and the preparation of recommendations, requesting payments from the Department of Treasury, and working directly with victim service groups, service care providers, law enforcement agencies, Clerk of Courts, District Attorneys, and claimants/victims for compensation claims received on a daily basis.
