Please respond to the following questions
additional 8x11 sheets may be attached if necessary
1. DESCRIBE THE IMPACT THAT VOCA FUNDS HAVE HAD ON YOUR PROGRAM'S ABILITY TO MEET THE NEEDS OF CRIME VICTIMS. The VOCA funds have enabled the Arkansas Crime Victims Reparations Board to continue to provide compensation to eligible victims. We have made several legislative and administrative changes to expand benefits to eligible victims, and we will be striving to do even more in the upcoming years under a new administration.

2. HOW DO YOU MEASURE YOUR PROGRAM'S EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS IN REDUCING THE FINANCIAL IMPACTH OF CRIME ON VICTIMS? WHAT ARE THE RESULTS? The Administrator prepares monthly reports for the Chief of Staff that reflect how many claims were received, awarded, denied or closed by each investigator, as well as the number of pending claims assigned to each investigator. This report includes the average turnaround per week for each Investigator. In the past, this information has been compiled manually. However, we began operating in a new computer system this year that will produce this information automatically. This new technology has enabled us to become more efficient in our claims processing and tracking. In addition, we continually set goals to target the oldest claims submitted to the program. This method has been effective in maintaining the investigator's focus on those claims that have been In the system for the longest period of time.

3. DID YOUR STATE USE VOCA ADMINSTRATIVE FUNDS? YES IF YOUR STATE USED VOCA ADMINSTRATIVE FUNDS, PLEASE DESCRIBE THE IMPACT THESE FUNDS HAVE HAD ON YOUR STATE'S ABILITY TO PROVIDE COMPENSATION OR IMPROVE VICTIM SERVICES. Arkansas has used the VOCA administrative funds for salary for one position.
