Please respond to the following questions
additional 8x11 sheets may be attached if necessary

1. DESCRIBE THE IMPACT THAT VOCA FUNDS HAVE HAD ON YOUR PROGRAM'S ABILITY TO MEET THE NEEDS OF CRIME
   VICTIMS.
VOCA compensation funds are critical to the mission of the Division of Victim Services to help restore victims of crime to their pre-crime status. Without the federal assistance, we would be unable to meet the needs of victims in our state, but with the federal VOCA funds we are able to pay all eligible claims. Our program can assist victims with such things as medical and dental costs, mental health counseling, prescription assistance, lost wages, loss of support and relocation expenses for victim safety. The VOCA funds allow us to continue to provide monetary assistance to those who have been victimized by crime in our state. Were it not for the assistance of these funds, the agency would be unable to fulfill our mission.

2. HOW DO YOU MEASURE YOUR PROGRAM'S EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS IN REDUCING THE FINANCIAL IMPACT
OF CRIME ON VICTIMS? WHAT ARE THE RESULTS?
The database used for the compensation program measures processing time on the average of all claims received from date of receipt through eligibility determination. During this reporting period, we were able to process claims at an average of 3.97 weeks. Many claims are processed much more quickly and we have been able to get funds into the hands of victims of crime in less than a week of receipt of the application.

3. DID YOUR STATE USE VOCA ADMINSTRATIVE FUNDS?   Yes
IF YOUR STATE USED VOCA ADMINSTRATIVE FUNDS, PLEASE DESCRIBE THE IMPACT THESE FUNDS HAVE HAD ON YOUR
STATE'S ABILITY TO PROVIDE COMPENSATION OR IMPROVE VICTIM SERVICES.
Administrative funds are used for employee training, preparation of resource documentation and continued IT support.
