Please respond to the following questions
additional 8x11 sheets may be attached if necessary

1. DESCRIBE THE IMPACT THAT VOCA FUNDS HAVE HAD ON YOUR PROGRAM'S ABILITY TO MEET THE NEEDS OF CRIME
   VICTIMS.
VOCA funds have provided sustainability to the Ri Crime Victim Compensation Program. Our efforts to provide financial assistance to crime victims is dependent on the contiued support of VOCA funding.

2. HOW DO YOU MEASURE YOUR PROGRAM'S EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS IN REDUCING THE FINANCIAL IMPACT
OF CRIME ON VICTIMS? WHAT ARE THE RESULTS?
One aspect of measuring program effectiveness has been to implement a tracking system to monitor the efficacy of our outreach efforts. One of the program's strategy goals is to increase our outreach efforts which will result in reaching more victims throughout the community.

Another aspect would include improvements to expedite processing time. Recent changes in program procedures will result in a faster, more efficient processing time. One example is that our program now mails a self-addressed. stamped envelope to the victim to ensure a quicker response for the return of requested documentation.

3. DID YOUR STATE USE VOCA ADMINSTRATIVE FUNDS?   Yes
IF YOUR STATE USED VOCA ADMINSTRATIVE FUNDS, PLEASE DESCRIBE THE IMPACT THESE FUNDS HAVE HAD ON YOUR
STATE'S ABILITY TO PROVIDE COMPENSATION OR IMPROVE VICTIM SERVICES.
Our program has used VOCA Administrative funds to supplement staff salary. As a result of recent state budget cuts, these funds help to ensure the continued adequate staffing needed to provide compensation to crime victims throughout the State of Rhode Island.
