Please respond to the following questions
additional 8x11 sheets may be attached if necessary

1. DESCRIBE THE IMPACT THAT VOCA FUNDS HAVE HAD ON YOUR PROGRAM'S ABILITY TO MEET THE NEEDS OF CRIME
   VICTIMS.
VOCA funds have allowed the Ohio Attorney General's office to pay out $15,555,966 in the past fiscal year. VOCA funds have allowed us to continue paying victims within the 120 day statute. The processing time for original Fact and Finding Decisions was 104.71 days.

2. HOW DO YOU MEASURE YOUR PROGRAM'S EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS IN REDUCING THE FINANCIAL IMPACT
OF CRIME ON VICTIMS? WHAT ARE THE RESULTS?
Our program measures efficiency and effectiveness in several catagories: average processing time, number of claims filed and number of appeals filed. The average processing time increased by 41.28 days from 63.43 in 2007 to 104.71 days in 2008. Our office focused on quality of decisions written instead of quantity. The increase to 104.71 days is 15.29 below the 120 day statute. The number of appeals decreased by 14 from 97 in 2007 to 83 in 2008. The number of claims filed were 8029 in 2008 compaired to 8302 in 2007.

3. DID YOUR STATE USE VOCA ADMINSTRATIVE FUNDS?   No
IF YOUR STATE USED VOCA ADMINSTRATIVE FUNDS, PLEASE DESCRIBE THE IMPACT THESE FUNDS HAVE HAD ON YOUR
STATE'S ABILITY TO PROVIDE COMPENSATION OR IMPROVE VICTIM SERVICES.
