Please respond to the following questions
additional 8x11 sheets may be attached if necessary

1. DESCRIBE THE IMPACT THAT VOCA FUNDS HAVE HAD ON YOUR PROGRAM'S ABILITY TO MEET THE NEEDS OF CRIME
   VICTIMS.
We were able to add forensic exam payments in 2005 and the total amount paid on those claims has increased. VOCA Funds has allowed us to pay out increased maximums and additional benefits on victim compensation claims affected by amendments to the Victim Compensation law approved by the legislature during the 2007 Legislativie Session. VOCA Funds has helped us be able to widen the scope of financial assistance to crime victim and survivors.

2. HOW DO YOU MEASURE YOUR PROGRAM'S EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS IN REDUCING THE FINANCIAL IMPACT
OF CRIME ON VICTIMS? WHAT ARE THE RESULTS?
Processing time is measured using a median of all paid claims. Processing time is calculated through automated means. Average processing time from receipt of application to eligibility determination was 233 days. Average processing time from eligibility determination to payment was 14 days. Combined average processing time for an approved claim with award was 247 days. Average payouts for claims received was $4,782.

3. DID YOUR STATE USE VOCA ADMINSTRATIVE FUNDS?   Yes
IF YOUR STATE USED VOCA ADMINSTRATIVE FUNDS, PLEASE DESCRIBE THE IMPACT THESE FUNDS HAVE HAD ON YOUR
STATE'S ABILITY TO PROVIDE COMPENSATION OR IMPROVE VICTIM SERVICES.
Administrative funds have enabled the program to meet the demands of increased program activities. Funds were used for rent of office space, annual dues to the National Association of Crime Victim Compensation Boards and travel expenses.
