Funds are available in March and are publicized by notice given to local and State government agencies. The funding process consists of each county receiving an allocation based on population and crime statistics. Individual counties identify local priorities for funds. The funding cycle/project period is based on the Federal fiscal year. Technical assistance is available on request.

The goal of this grant program is to strengthen law enforcement and prosecution strategies to combat violent crimes against women and to provide services for women victims of violent crime.

The goal of this grant program is to support direct assistance to victims of crime as soon as possible after the crime to reduce the severity of trauma.

The goal of this grant program is to develop, establish, and operate programs designed to improve the handling of child abuse cases and improve the investigation and prosecution of child sexual abuse cases
