This NIJ video, “Serious and Violent Offender Reentry Initiative,” is an interview with Pamela Lattimore, principal scientist at RTI International, from the 2009 NIJ Conference. Ms. Lattimore discusses factors that inhibit serious and violent offenders in incarceration, such as drug abuse, little education and mental illness. She also explains what efforts are going on to combat these problems.
