Geography and Public Safety, Issue 1

Geography and Public Safety is a new quarterly publication produced by the National Institute of Justice and the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services. Articles in the newsletter discuss practices and policy that involve mapping of law enforcement and public safety problems, provide technical assistance to practitioners working with geographic information systems and spatial analysis, and highlight news features in these fields. The premiere issue of the newsletter features an editorial that sets the intention for future issues and emphasizes the need for advancing crime mapping, spatial analysis, and public safety.
