Building Knowledge About Crime and Justice: The 2000 Research Prospectus of the National Institute of Justice discusses the development of five strategic challenges to reduce crime, enhance public safety, and improve the administration of justice through research in the coming year, such as creating new tools and technology to aid practitioners.
