DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM TO DOCUMENT EVIDENCE IN TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS AND OTHER CIVIL AND CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS.
Abstract
STATE TROOPERS ARE TRAINED TO USE CARTRIDGE - LOADING KODAK INSTAMATIC CAMERAS. THE COURSE COVERS HOW TO LOAD AND USE THE CAMERA AND WHAT PICTURES TO TAKE. THE PROGRAM IS ALSO EXPERIMENTING WITH USING SLIDES AND COLOR FILM. EVIDENCE DOCUMENTED IN THIS PROGRAM HAS PROVEN HELPFUL TO TROOPERS WHO ARE CALLED UPON TO TESTIFY IN A COURT CASE, SINCE BOTH THE JUDGE AND JURY CAN BETTER VISUALIZE WHAT HAPPENED. IN ADDITION, PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE HAS LED TO MORE CASES BEING SETTLED OUT OF COURT.
