THE STANDARDS MANUAL DIRECTS AND STANDARDIZES PROCEDURES FOR THE CREATION, OPERATION, AND MODIFICATION OF ALL SYSTEMS, PROGRAMS AND DOCUMENTATION.
Abstract
PART OF THE COMPLETE SET OF SEVENTEEN MODULARIZED ALERT II SYSTEMS OPERATING MANUALS, THE MANUAL OF STANDARDS IS ONE OF SIX VOLUMES THAT CONTAIN INFORMATION APPLICABLE TO EACH OF THE ELEVEN SUB-SYSTEMS. THE FUNCTIONS OF THE STANDARDS ARE TO IMPROVE COMMUNICATION, REDUCE DUPLICATION AND AMBIGUITY, AND TO MINIMIZE DIFFICULTIES CAUSED BY PERSONNEL TURNOVERS. ORGANIZATIONAL, SECURITY ENVIRONMENTAL, AND DOCUMENTATION STANDARDS ARE PRESENTED. FOLLOWING THESE ARE STANDARDS RELATING TO SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT AND DESIGN, PROGRAMMING, OPERATIONS, AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT.
