- In the nation's 75 most populous counties, an estimated 57,497 defendants were charged with a felony offense in 2004. Felony Defendants in Large Urban Counties, 2004

- 2009 National Inmate Survey (NIS) This solicitation contains information and guidelines to apply for funding to administer the 2009 National Inmate Survey. The NIS is an Audio Computer-Assisted Self-Interview (ACASI) instrument administered to inmates in correctional facilities to measure the prevalence of sexual assault at the facility level. For funding in FY 2008, applications must be received by BJS no later than 5:00 p.m. EDT on May 29, 2008.
