For victims, the mean age began at 35.2 in 1976 and decreased, reaching a low of 31.3 in 1994. Then the mean age increased to 32.6 in 2004, before decreasing to 32.3 in 2005.

For offenders, the mean age began at 30.3 in 1976 and increased to 30.5 in 1977. The mean age then fell to a low of 26.4 in 1994, before increasing to 28.8 in 2004. It then fell to 28.5 in 2005.
