For homicides involving male offenders and male victims, the number began at 153 in 1976 and increased, reaching 184 in 1978. After 1978, the number dropped, reaching 146 in 1979, before rising to 261 in 1994. It then fell, reaching 183 in 1997, before increasing to 224 in 2001. Then the number decreased to 190 in 2002, before rising to 196 in 2003. After 2003, it fell to 191 in 2005.

For homicides involving male offenders and female victims, the number began at 120 in 1976 and decreased to 86 in 1984. After 1984, the number increased to 138 in 1986, before decreasing, reaching a low of 79 in 2004. After 2004, it rose to 100 in 2005.

For homicides involving female offenders and male victims, the number began at 124 in 1976 and remained constant until 1977. Then the number rose to 139 in 1979, before decreasing to 122 in 1980. After 1980, it rose to 193 in 1991, before falling, reaching 161 in 1994. Then the number rose, reaching 193 in 1996, before decreasing to 144 in 2005.

For homicides involving female offenders and female victims, the number began at 87 in 1976 and increased to 96 in 1977. After 1977, the number fell to 75 in 1979, before rising, reaching a high of 133 in 1996. After 1996, it decreased to 75 in 2000, before increasing to 97 in 2001. The number then decreased to 84 in 2002, before rising to 90 in 2005.
