For victimization of persons 65 or older, the rate per 100,000 population began at 5.4 in 1976 and decreased to 1.9 in 2000. The rate then increased to 2.0 in 2001, before decreasing to 1.9 in 2002. Then it rose to 2.0 in 2003, where it remained constant until 2004. Then the rate decreased to 1.9 in 2005.
For offending by persons 65 or older, the rate per 100,000 population began at 2.1 in 1976 and remained constant until 1977. Then the rate decreased to a low of 0.6 in 2002, before rising to 0.8 in 2003. Then it decreased to 0.7 in 2004, where it remained constant until 2005.
