Note: Applicants for competitive grant awards must apply via OJP's Grants Management System (GMS).
Note: OJP's Grants Management System (GMS) does not support Microsoft Vista or Microsoft 2007. Therefore, OJP will not review any application whose attachments
are in Microsoft Vista or Microsoft 2007 format. GMS downloads applications from Grants.gov and is the system in which OJP reviews applications and manages awarded
grants. Applications submitted via GMS must be in the following formats: Microsoft Word (*.doc), WordPerfect (*.wpd), PDF files (*.pdf), or Text Documents (*.txt)
and may include Excel files (*.xls). GMS is not yet compatible with Vista and cannot yet process Microsoft Word 2007 documents saved in the new default format with
the extensions of ".docx." Please ensure the documents you are submitting in Grants.gov are saved using "Word 97-2003 Document (*.doc)" format. In addition, GMS
does not accept executable file types as application attachments. These disallowed file types include, but are not limited to, the following extensions:
".com," ".bat," ".exe," ".vbs," ".cfg," ".dat," ".db," ".dbf," ".dll," ".ini," ".log," ".ora," ".sys," and ".zip."

Are you interested in becoming a peer reviewer for BJA?
A peer reviewer is usually assigned 10-20 applications to review and score within a 2-week period. Reviewers are also required to participate in an Orientation Call
before beginning their review in order to understand their role and responsibilities and the background and purpose of the grant program for which the potential
grantees have applied. The Orientation Call also provides the peer reviewers an opportunity to ask any questions they may have regarding the peer review process.
After reviewing the applications, a peer reviewer will participate on a consensus call together with two other reviewers to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of
each application. For their effort, peer reviewers are paid $125 per each application that is reviewed.
If you are interested in becoming a peer reviewer for BJA, please submit an up-to-date resume or curriculum vitae, including a valid e-mail address, to:
