Putting the Evaluation Findings to Work

Demonstrate the secure nature of the data sharing technology that will be used.
Include stakeholders in the development of the information sharing/integration initiative through participation in meetings and tests of system usability.
Before the evaluation begins, ensure that data from the participating agencies will be in a format that can be easily shared by everyone.
Ensure data quality, accuracy and timeliness by clearly defining project goals, objectives, and activities to determine what information should be collected, and work to ensure that all stakeholders agree on a system for periodic data checks.
Confirm that the selected performance measures reflect the short and long term goals and objectives of the initiative.
Plan for follow-up testing to determine long-term use of the technology as well as the weaknesses and strengths of the technology.
Test for usability prior to an outcome evaluation or full-scale implementation of the initiative.
