A measure of association; a statistic used with ordinal variables.
Generalizability
The extent to which the findings of a study can be applied to other populations, settings, or times.
FOR EXAMPLE, the findings that a treatment program for adult females reduced recidivism may not be subsequently generalized to include adult males or juveniles.
Goal
A desired state of affairs that outlines the ultimate purpose of a program. This is
the end toward which program efforts are directed. FOR EXAMPLE, the goal of many criminal
justice programs is a reduction in criminal activity.
