2009 Financial Management Training Seminars

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) offers grantees a two-day financial management training seminar at various locations across the country. OJP has scheduled 14 seminars nationwide from January through December 2009.

The Regional Financial Management Training Seminars are designed for individuals responsible for the financial administration of discretionary and/or formula grants awarded from Federal grant-in-aid programs administered by the Bureaus and Offices of DOJ/OJP, including the: Bureau of Justice Assistance; Bureau of Justice Statistics; National Institute of Justice; Office Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention; Office for Victims of Crime; Office on Violence Against Women; the Community Capacity Development Office; and the Office of Sex Offender Sentencing, Monitoring, Apprehending, Registering and Tracking.

The seminars will cover the discretionary/formula grants awarded by the DOJ/OJP program offices listed above. Officials from OJP's Office of the Chief Financial Officer will lead all seminars.

There is no registration fee; however, attendees are responsible for all costs associated with their participation in the seminar, including transportation, lodging, and meals. The seminar format is informal and participants are invited to dress casually. Attendance is limited, so register as soon as possible.
